Job summary

Saint Joseph Mount Sterling, part of CHI Saint Joseph Health within CommonSpirit Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Registered Nurse: KY, upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support – CPR, upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 Days.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 6 months.
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course, within 12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire knowledge and skills for patient care in the identified practice setting.
  • Perform assessment and analyze patient problems to determine need for standard, urgent or emergent interventions.
  • Implement/modify plan of care using assessment data, standards of care and evidence-based practice; coordinate care and discharge planning.
  • Deliver care that preserves patient autonomy, dignity and rights by integrating ethics.
  • Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments per policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate progress towards attainment of desired patient outcomes.

  • Assumes responsibility for acquiring knowledge and skills necessary for patient care in the identified practice setting.

  • Performs assessment and analyzes patient problems and conditions using critical thinking skills to determine need for standard, urgent or emergent interventions.

  • Implements and/or modifies plan of care using assessment data, standards of care and evidence based practice inclusive of nursing care coordination, appropriate patient and family education, and discharge planning. Facilitates interdisciplinary partnership in patient care.

  • Integrates ethical provisions in nursing practice and delivers care in a manner that preserves and protects patient autonomy, dignity and rights.

  • Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures.

  • Evaluates progress towards attainment of desired patient outcomes.

$30.00 – $43.50 /hour
