Job summary

Medical Center Barbour seeks an experienced Emergency Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care in the ED. The role requires prompt assessment, monitoring and documentation, with emphasis on safety and compassionate care for diverse patient populations.

Two years of hospital or related experience is preferred. Alabama nursing licensure is required, with CPR, ACLS and PALS completed within 90 days of assignment.

Experience

Desirable characteristics include at least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned position. The skills and knowledge needed to provide such care may be gained through education, training or experience.

Licenses/Certificates

License to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Alabama. CPR certification, ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of assignment to the ED.
