Join Cleveland Clinic's Medina Hospital as an RN in the Emergency Department on a Weekender Flex schedule. You will work two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour shift during the week, delivering high-quality patient care in a 20-bed ED with Magnet recognition and advanced technology.

This role requires a nursing degree, current RN license, BLS, ACLS/PALS as required, and ED experience or equivalent military RN experience. Nights, full-time status, and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure is required.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• ACLS and PALS certification within hire or within one year.
• TNCC (adult) or ENPC (pediatric) required within 24 months.
• One year of acute care RN or ED experience, or licensed military RN experience.

Medina Hospital's 20-bed Emergency Department serves all patients seeking emergency care - inclusive of all ages from neonate to geriatric, and regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or ability to pay. This Emergency Department is the 3rd highest acuity in all of Cleveland Clinic and has obtained various achievements such as the ENA Lantern Award, Certified Primary Stroke Center, GeriatricAccredited Emergency Department and Magnet Hospital. The department is focused on providing treatment tailored to each individual patient's specific needs, with an emphasis on expediting care and reducing wait times. As an RN on this team, you will deliver exceptional care, throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed.

This RN position is part of Cleveland Clinic's Weekender Flex Program and will require you to work two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour shift during the week. While you are only working 36 hours a week, Cleveland Clinic will pay you for 44 hours of work and give you full-time status and benefits. This schedule allows caregivers to enjoy personal time during the week with family and friends and take care of any errands that will not interfere with a typical day shift schedule.

A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00PM - 7:30AM, including every Saturday and Sundayand one weekday.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide direct nursing care.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon hire or within one year of beginning work in the Emergency Department
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC - adult) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC - pediatric) upon hire or within 24 months of beginning work in the Emergency Department
• One year of current acute care RN experience and/or Emergency Department (ED) experience OR licensed military RN experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Strong Emergency Department background

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
