Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General in Akron, OH is seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Department to deliver direct nursing care, implement and monitor care plans, and communicate patient conditions to the care team.

You will educate patients and families, assess discharge needs, and collaborate with physicians to carry out orders. A diploma, ADN or BSN and 1 year ED/acute care experience with a current RN license and BLS are required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

About This Role

As an RN in the Emergency Department at Cleveland Clinic Akron General's Bath Health and Wellness Center, you will deliver exceptional care throughout the patient care journey, interacting directly with patients and their families to enhance their experience.

Requirements

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)

Experience:

• One year of current acute care RN experience and/or Emergency Department (ED) experience OR licensed military RN experience

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC - adult) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC - pediatric) preferred
