The RN will apply nursing processes, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and uphold standards of practice while supporting families. This full-time role requires Kansas licensure, CPR/BLS, and commitment to continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RN in Kansas or compact license.
• CPR/AED/BLS certification required with 14 days.
• ADN-to-BSN agreement required for hires after Sept 1, 2026; BSN must be completed within five years.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to medication safety policies and proper order writing and administration.
• Answer calls, triage patient care needs, and respond to safety concerns.
• Maintain consistent work schedule and role-model therapeutic communication.
• Coordinate health care services with hospital teams, vendors, and physicians.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and lead the care team.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and adapt plans as patient conditions change.
• Provide direct nursing care including chemotherapy and oncology treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families using available resources.
• Seek additional learning opportunities within the unit and participate in rounds.
