Job summary

EvergreenHealth is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN to join the established ED team in Kirkland, WA.

The role provides direct patient care, assesses nursing needs, and collaborates with physicians and the care team to implement plans. Licensed WA RN with BLS and ACLS is required; PALS and TNCC are preferred within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and acts as a patient advocate.
• Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned patient group.
• Coordinates patient and family education.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care with family involvement.
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team on the care plan.
• Communicates changes in patient condition to nurse in charge and physician.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Wage Range: $48.21- $87.11 per hour

EvergreenHealth is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN to join the well- established and dynamic Emergency Department team.

Job Summary

Responsible for the total direct nursing care of all patients within established standards of care, hospital and unit policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Primary Duties

• 1. Provides direct patient care and functions as a patient advocate.
• 2. Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients.
• 3. Coordinates the patient and family/significant other education process.
• 4. Continuously plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process.
• 5. Participates with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient and family/significant other plan of care.
• 6. Communicates effectively all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor, in timely way.
• 7. Communicates and documents changes in patient condition, on a timely basis, to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.
• 8. Performs other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, Education or Experience

Required for the position:

• Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required)
• Minimum of two-years current RN Emergency Room nursing experience.
• Current WA State Registered Nurse License
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS- American Heart Association by start date.
• Current Healthcare Provider ACLS- American Heart Association by start date.
• PALS within 6 months of hire and TNCC within a year of hire

Desired for this position

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
• CEN certification is preferred.
