Job summary

Corewell Health's Ludington Hospital is seeking a qualified RN to join the Emergency Center on the night shift. You will deliver nursing care per ANA standards, perform assessments, and collaborate with a fast-paced team to stabilize patients and support trauma care.

The role requires an RN license in Michigan, an Associates degree or higher, and BLS/ACLS/ENPC/TNCC within specified timelines. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive, inclusive work environment.

• Associates in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's in Nursing required within 5 years.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• BLS required within 90 days.
• ACLS required within 6 months.
• ENPC within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care per ANA standards and nursing process.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced Emergency Center.
• Support trauma care and resuscitation as part of the ED team.

Our 25-bed Emergency Department features 16 state-of-the-art treatment areas, including two trauma bays, and provides rapid assessment, resuscitation, stabilization, and emergency interventions.

• Helicopter transport agreements with Level I and Level II trauma centers

Float RNs gain valuable experience in high-acuity and fast-paced emergency care.

Scope of work

Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
