Lima Memorial Health System in Lima, Ohio seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care on assigned shifts within the acute care/ED setting. This role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and collaboration with physicians, patients and staff.

Education and licensure include graduation from an accredited nursing program with Ohio RN license and current BLS; ACLS within 90 days; PALS, TNCC and Trauma Core within 12 months; basic cardiac class. BSN preferred.

Functioning within the Health System’s mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients on his/her shift.

EducationMust be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Must have a valid unrestricted RN license with the Ohio Board of Nursing. Current BLS required. ACLS certification within 90 days of hire. Obtain PALS, TNCC and Trauma Core Nurse training within 12 months of hire. Basic cardiac class required.

Experience Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or emergency department (ED) experience preferred.

Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement; the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must have excellent “customer service” skills, including the ability to exhibit patience and tact with all constituents including physicians, patients and associates. Must also be cooperative and collaborative, and have the ability to work efficiently while in stressful situations. Basic computer skills and EMR (electronic medical records) experience also required.
