Job summary

Wayne HealthCare in Greenville, OH seeks an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a Resource position with varied shifts and weekend/holiday rotations.

The role includes cross-training to other departments, reporting to the Director of Emergency Services, and requires Ohio license, BLS, with BSN preferred; ACLS and PALS certification preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in the ED with patient-focused assessment and interventions.

Emergency Department - Registered Nurse - Resource

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. This position is working varied shifts and hours based on the needs of the department. Resource positions require weekend and holiday rotation The applicant will be cross trained to other departments within the facility. The position reports to the Director of Emergency Services.
Qualifications:

• Currently licensed to practice in the State of Ohio
• BSN preferred
• Current BLS Certification required
• Previous critical care experience preferred
• ACLS and PALS certification preferred
• 3 to 5 years of Emergency Room experience

Skill and Ability:

• Interpersonal and analytical skills necessary to function under the current standards of nursing practices
• Physically able to perform the functions of the position
• ACLS certification required within six months of transition/hire
• PALS certification required within one year of transition/hire
• Hazmat training required
• TNCC certification encouraged
• Cardiac arrhythmia interpretation course required within six months
• Maintains all required qualifications for area assigned
• All other duties as assigned
