Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to function as a caregiver for a specific patient population, providing direct care and coordinating patient care with the interdisciplinary team.

This role requires an Associate or Diploma in Nursing, BSN in progress, and a valid RN license. A BSN within five years of hire is preferred, and BLS/CPR certification is required within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing or diploma of Nursing required.
• BSN in progress and/or plan to acquire within three years of hire.
• Must have six months or more of relevant nursing experience or participate in Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency Program.
• One year or more of Emergency nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work at the location by date of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation and coordination.
• Coordinate patient care and unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
• Provide effective direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team to a variety of complex patients.
