Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver nursing care to residents in a warm, home-like environment. You will be part of a supportive team that values long-lasting relationships with associates and residents.

Responsibilities include assessing and documenting residents’ status, coordinating care, supervising assistants, and responding to emergencies in accordance with state regulations. CPR and RN licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Current state license as an RN and CPR certification.
• Graduate of an approved RN program (per state requirements).
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse preferred.
• Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses, communicates, and documents residents’ status.
• Observes and reports significant changes in resident health to the care team.
• Directs and supervises daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants.
• Mentors Lead Resident Care Assistants in their duties.
• Coordinates care needs with community providers via case management processes.
• Balances service demands with supporting resident independence.
• Recognizes and reports elder abuse or neglect per state regulations.
• Responds to emergencies and uses the personal alarm system appropriately.
