Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking an RN Educator at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis for a full-time day-shift role. The role requires 3-5 years of clinical experience, Indiana RN licensure with a BSN, CPR/ACLS/PALS certifications, and strong knowledge of adult learning principles and program

Qualifications

• Requires 3-5 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Requires current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Indiana. BSN required.
• Requires current organizational-specified CPR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications.
• Requires knowledge of adult learning principles, regulatory requirements, and educational program management.
• Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office and software applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical orientation groups in patient care environment.
• Collaborate with Unit Based Educator to create efficient and effective onboarding processes that provide high value to new hires, our preceptors, patients, and team members.
• Establish and build relationships with new nurses, support staff, and preceptors to create extraordinary onboarding experiences.
• Evaluate clinical practice and provide feedback on new orientee progression.
• Flexibility for some weekends/evenings each month.
• Coach preceptors for improved onboarding experience.
