Job summary

IU Health is seeking an RN Educator at the Methodist Hospital location in Indianapolis to join a full-time, day-shift team. This role focuses on training clinical staff, onboarding new nurses, and ensuring high-quality patient care through structured orientation and mentoring.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of clinical experience, Indiana RN licensure with BSN, and certifications (CPR, ACLS, PALS). Proficiency in Microsoft Office supports educational program management.

Qualifications

• Requires 3-5 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Requires current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Indiana. BSN required.
• Requires CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Requires knowledge of adult learning principles, regulatory requirements, and educational program management.
• Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office and software applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical orientation groups in patient care environment.
• Collaborate with Unit Based Educator to create onboarding processes that provide high value to new hires, our preceptors, patients, and team members.
• Establish and build relationships with new nurses, support staff, and preceptors to create extraordinary onboarding experiences.
• Evaluate clinical practice and provide feedback on new orientee progression.
• Flexibility for some weekends/evenings each month.
• Coach preceptors for improved onboarding experience.
