Job summary

Elderwood at Lockport is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as RN Educator. This position offers the opportunity to shape nursing practice through education, orientation, coaching, competency development, and hands‑on clinical support.

The ideal candidate is an approachable clinical leader who enjoys helping others grow and believes strong educators remain connected to resident care. In addition to leading staff‑development activities, you will maintain an active clinical presence

Qualifications

Registered nurse with NYS license is required.
Baccalaureate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Act as a clinical “super user” for the EMR and serve as a go‑to resource for staff.
Schedule, teach, and lead BLS and IV certification programs.
Perform staff vaccinations, health screenings, and assigned medical testing.
Collaborate with Unit Managers, Nurse Consultants, and Preceptors to support annual clinical competency testing.
Coordinate and deliver mandatory corporate in‑service education.
Track, document, and report education compliance using the LMS.
Plan and deliver CNA and Support Aide orientation programs.
Ensure Nursing Assistants complete required in‑service education hours.
Prepare monthly education calendars and reports.
