Job summary

Sixteenth Street Community Health Center, Inc. is seeking a training coordinator to provide learning and mentoring for newly hired Medical Assistants.

The role involves collaborating with leadership to identify training needs and maintaining a comprehensive learning library with links, slides, and videos. You will prepare training materials, develop schedules, and create resources for corporate and clinical training, using various delivery methods.

Qualifications

• RN clinical experience of more than 2 years.
• Ability to relate well to people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
• Able to effectively teach, correct and encourage.
• Strong written and oral communication skills necessary.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide a quality learning and mentoring experience to newly hired Medical Assistants.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs.
• Maintain an updated Medical Assistant learning library of links, Power Point presentation and other resources.
• Prepare and deliver training materials such as module summaries, videos, and presentations.
• Assist with monitoring protocols to ensure that all employees are performing job responsibilities according to training.
• Develop training schedules, design, and develop training resources (outsourced or in-house) for corporate, clinical, and other SSCHC training needs.
• Choose appropriate training methods based on audience and deliverables. May include but not limited to, virtual, return demonstration, lecture, classroom teaching, mentoring, on the job training, professional development classes, etc.
• Develop schedule and teaching aids for remedial learning.
• Create individualized training strategies, initiatives, and materials.
• Test and review created materials through feedback and peer review.
• Assist with new employee training and onboarding needs.
• Develop and assist Preceptors on effective training methods.
• Participate in and inform weekly feedback meetings about trainee performance.
• Will occasionally assist with triage calls and other clinical RN duties.
• Maintain new hire orientation checklist up to date.

Qualifications

• RN Clinical experience of more than 2 years.

• Strong written and oral communication skills necessary.
• Must effectively lead in one-to-one, mentoring relationships as well as larger audience settings.
• Must be bilingual (Spanish/English).
