Tennessee Oncology, a leader in community-based cancer care, is seeking an Education Specialist to develop, deliver and evaluate education and training programs for team members across our growing network in Nashville area.

You will teach clinical education pathways, coordinate competency assessments, mentor staff, and ensure adherence to policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Travel to satellite clinics may be required to support education initiatives.

Qualifications

• RN with current license and relevant education experience.
• Recent experience with staff health care education required.
• Certification specialty area is required within 6 months of meeting certification requirements.
• Chemotherapy Certification is required within 3 months of meeting certification requirements.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement organization-wide education plans for team members and providers.
• Teach and organize classroom and other clinical education programs/pathways.
• Grade coursework and evaluate clinical skills performance.
• Coordinate and participate in new hire and annual competency education/evaluations/validations.
• Maintain competency as an expert resource for required technical skills and theoretical/didactic knowledge.
• Facilitate role development, selection and ongoing education of clinical preceptors.
• Mentor, resource and preceptor for new hires to promote excellence and safety.
• Collaborate with providers and leadership to develop education/training plans and materials.
• Create and provide training/in-services as needed for equipment, protocols, procedures and policies.
• Represent Tennessee Oncology at professional conferences.
