CommonSpirit Health's Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center in Houston seeks an RN Education Specialist to design, implement, and evaluate evidence-based educational programs for nursing staff.

You will lead orientations, ongoing education, and competency assessments to support safe patient-centered care. You will apply strong clinical knowledge and instructional design skills to foster professional growth, mentor nurses, and advance clinical ladders, aligning with the hospital's mission and quality

Qualifications

• Designs and evaluates evidence-based nursing education programs and orientations.
• Plans continuing education for nursing staff and evaluates learning outcomes.
• Identifies learning needs and supports staff development through structured programs.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates expertise in the teaching/learning process and assists management and clinical staff to develop and provide educational programs.
• Utilizes assessments to identify learning needs and helps nurse managers, clinical educators, and staff plan learning activities.
• Develops and performs needs assessments with management and staff to determine developmental and educational needs.
• Assesses critical thinking, interpersonal relations, and technical skills to aid orientation and staff development.
• Communicates with staff to facilitate development of clinical, management, and research skills.
• Promotes career advancement including clinical ladder and differentiated practice through mentorship.
