Job summary

The RN Specialty Educator functions under the direction and guidance of the Nurse Manager, serving as a consultant and facilitator in assessing learning needs and planning educational activities for staff and patients across RHS facilities. Must be available to educate staff on all shifts and cover units as needed.

The role emphasizes teaching strategies, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and collaboration with leadership to meet excellence goals.

Qualifications

• 1 year RN experience in acute care setting (Required)
• 1 year Teaching experience in a clinical or formal setting (Preferred)
• Licenses and Certifications: RN in Virginia, CPR/BLS, ACLS, PALS (Required/Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and systemize policies, procedures, care and services.
• Coordinate services across RHS and the community.
• Budget planning and resource allocation for defined areas.
• Create an environment with effective leadership for a service delivery team.
• Monitor clinical activities for risks and learning opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with patient safety standards and Standards of Excellence.
