Job summary

Riverside Health System in Smithfield, Virginia is seeking an RN Specialty Educator to guide learning across departments. The Educator serves as a consultant, change agent, and facilitator for planning, implementing, and evaluating educational activities for staff and patients, with a focus on safety, excellence, and regulatory standards.

Under the Nurse Manager, the educator plans teaching strategies for all facility personnel and must be available on all shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Master's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare preferred.
• 1 year RN experience in acute care is required.
• 1 year of teaching in a clinical or formal setting preferred.
• Virginia RN license (or compact state) required on hire.
• CPR/BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and systemize policies, procedures, care and services.
• Effectively coordinates and integrates services across RHS and the community.
• Participate in budget planning and monitoring for defined areas.
• Lead an environment of integrated leadership to meet goals and patient care standards.
