Qualifications

Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare preferred.
3-4 years RN experience in acute care preferred.
1 year of teaching in a clinical or formal setting preferred.
RN license in Virginia (VDHP) required.
CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with leadership, HR, physicians and team to assess learning needs.
Develops and implements education plans aligned with identified needs.
Coordinates orientation and education opportunities for team members and leaders.
Creates an education calendar using assessments and feedback tools.
Leads team member competency validation and orientation with leadership and HR.
Uses information systems to input, track, and report education data.
Serves as a consultant to leadership to achieve goals.
Manages costs related to employee health and staff development within budget.
Engages physicians and staff to provide educational series/in-services.
Consults with Medical Director for health and staff development programs.
