Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care according to department needs and standards of practice. In collaboration with medical providers and team members, the RN provides individualized, compassionate care following established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN advocates for patients and families, embodying the organization’s mission and values to enhance patient experience and clinical outcomes.

• Assesses patient pain regularly and promotes effective pain management, including reassessments.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered, documenting care thoroughly and promptly.
• Responds promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs and resolving issues proactively.
• Educates patients and families about medical conditions, treatments, medications, side effects, and follow-up care, translating complex terminology for clarity.
• Prepares patients and families for self-management through education on lifestyle changes and non-medicinal follow-up measures.

Qualifications Needed:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
