Emergency Room Nurse

Registered nurses provide and coordinate care for patients, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to offer physical and psychological support. Responsibilities include assessments, developing care plans, medication administration, documentation, education, equipment maintenance, and communication of patient needs.

What you will do in this role:

• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions, maintaining accurate records.

• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.

• Demonstrate knowledge of human development, assessment, treatment ranges, and care appropriate to patient ages.

• Promote hospital customer service initiatives.

• Utilize the nursing process to meet individual patient needs.

• Perform technical skills and procedures competently.

Qualifications needed:

• Current RN licensure by TN Board of Nursing or a compact state.

• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

• ACLS and PALS certifications within 1 year of employment.

• CPI certification within 6 months of employment.

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.

• ER RN experience preferred.

Parkridge East Hospital is a 120+ bed facility offering a full range of services including orthopedics, robotic surgery, and a 24/7 Emergency Department recognized as an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The hospital also provides obstetrical care, complex gynecological procedures, and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with specialized staff available at all times.
