Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring full-time Registered Nurses for the Emergency Department, home to Hampton Roads' only Level I Trauma Center. Shift: Third (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) with every-other weekend and holiday rotation. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available; comprehensive benefits package included.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Registered Nursing required
• BSN or MSN preferred
• Registered Nurse license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire
• NIHSS, TCRN, SCRN, TNCC, CEN, PALS, and ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ED setting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver timely, high-quality care
• Support trauma and critical care patients and families throughout care
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking, communication, and patient safety practices
