Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital’s Emergency Department seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to join a fast-paced Level I trauma center. The ED features 53 beds, and nurses collaborate with physicians and specialists to deliver timely, patient-centered care across trauma, cardiac, stroke, and critical care cases.

The role offers a full-time, 36-hour week schedule with a weekend night shift, competitive compensation, sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• RN license required or eligible.
• BSN/MSN preferred; students may be considered.
• BLS within 90 days of hire; NIHSS/TCRN/SCRN/TNCC/PALS/ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a Level I trauma ED.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Support trauma, stroke and critical care patients and families.
• Maintain safety and documentation per policy.
