Job summary

Wellstar is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for the W.E.S.T. Float Team. You will provide expert, compassionate care across the WellStar network, traveling between facilities to support busy EDs.

The role emphasizes clinical excellence, teamwork, and adaptability, with shifts in the Evening period. Join a high-performing team dedicated to patient care across multiple WellStar facilities in Georgia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of direct ED RN experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred) with active RN license.
• Active RN license (Georgia or Compact) required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• TNCC or ATCN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care: assessment, triage, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans.
• Respond swiftly to critical situations and codes.
• Educate patients and families on care, treatment, and discharge instructions.
• Ensure timely documentation in compliance with Wellstar standards.

You’ll Do:

You’ll Bring:

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of recent, direct ED RN experience required.
• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred) required.
• Required Licensure/Certifications: Active RN license (Georgia or Compact) required.
• BLS - Basic Life Support required.
• ACL S - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support required.
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required.
• TNCC - Trauma Nurse Core Course or ATCN - Adv Trauma Care for Nurses Cert preferred.
• Skills: Critical thinking, adaptability, teamwork, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
