Job summary

Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn, North Carolina seeks a Registered Nurse-Disease Specific Coordinator to advance quality and patient safety. The role focuses on coordinating data collection, analysis, and performance improvement across disease-specific areas, ensuring evidence-based care and readiness for Joint Commission, CMS, and other inspections.

You will educate on processes, work with teams to reduce waste, oversee RCAs/FMEs, and support transitions of care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Current North Carolina RN license or compact state licensure.
• 2 years’ experience in quality, patient safety, and/or regulatory work.
• Knowledge of PI methodologies, Joint Commission and CMS standards, and patient safety issues.
• Ability to collect, aggregate and review data; basic statistics knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Educate staff on quality of care and CMS/Leapfrog metrics.
• Coordinate PI/PS/Regulatory meetings hospital-wide.
• Prepare monthly quality reports for the Quality Council/MEC and Board of Trustees.
• Support Joint Commission DSC processes and readiness for surveys.
• Identify patient safety risks and coach teams in safe practices.
