Job summary

Your Health Organization in West Columbia is seeking a Director of Clinical Education to lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs for our Columbia employees. The role requires a strong clinical background, leadership, and a passion for mentoring staff to deliver exceptional patient care.

You will develop evidence-based training, oversee competency assessments, partner with leadership, and ensure compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Current RN Licensure in good standing.
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience.
• Master’s degree in Nursing Education or related field preferred.
• CNPD or related certification preferred.
• Proven ability to implement adult education concepts and methodologies.
• Experience developing online or blended learning programs.
• Proficiency with EMR, telemedicine, and remote monitoring tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead, train, and supervise interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as clinical resource and role model; mentor and guide the team.
• Advance integration of evidence-based practice through education.
• Develop and implement learning solutions to close knowledge gaps.
• Assess staff education needs and design competency programs.
• Stay current with research and technologies in clinical education.
• Evaluate educational programs and adjust as needed.
• Ensure adherence to state/federal regulations and care standards.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement training aligned with goals.
• Lead hands-on workshops and simulations to demonstrate skills.
• Track clinician performance with competency checklists.
• Support continuing education and professional development.
