Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital is seeking a Director of Med Surg to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the unit's staffing, budgeting, and operational strategies. The role emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and the development of policies to meet facility goals.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree (BSN preferred) with a Master's preferred, 3+ years of acute care nursing, and at least 1 year in leadership. Active RN licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or other approved education plan required; BSN preferred.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 3+ years of acute care nursing experience required; 1+ years of leadership in an acute care setting required.
• Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation required
• BLS required

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director Med Surg ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall function and staffing of the unit in addition to forecasting, planning, and budget monitoring. The Director also fosters a culture of accountability and collaboration and supports the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in support of facility objectives.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor's Degree or other approved education plan required; BSN preferred

• Master's Degree preferred

• 3+ years of acute care nursing experience required; 1+ years of experience in leadership in an acute care setting required

• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation required
