Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital seeks an experienced RN Director Med Surg to oversee the unit's operations, staffing, and budget while ensuring patient-centered care. The role supports strategy development, policy implementation, and collaboration across departments to advance facility objectives.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of acute care nursing and at least 1 year in leadership, with an active RN license and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; BSN preferred
• Master's degree preferred
• 3+ years of acute care nursing experience required
• 1+ years of leadership experience in acute care required
• Current RN license in applicable state and/or active compact license
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Med Surg unit to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and staffing effectiveness
• Forecast, plan, and monitor the budget for the unit
• Foster accountability and collaboration; support development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in line with facility objectives

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Director Med Surg ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall function and staffing of the unit in addition to forecasting, planning, and budget monitoring. The Director also fosters a culture of accountability and collaboration and supports the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in support of facility objectives.

What qualifications you will need

• Bachelor's Degree or other approved education plan required; BSN preferred
• Master's Degree preferred
• 3+ years of acute care nursing experience required; 1+ years of experience in leadership in an acute care setting required
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation required
• BLS required
