Base Pay Range

$128,000.00/yr - $198,000.00/yr

Overview

Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring an RN Director for a leading acute care facility in Worcester, MA. This position offers the opportunity to lead high‑performing nursing teams within the ICU, ensuring quality patient outcomes and fostering excellence in clinical operations.

The Director will provide operational and clinical leadership, supporting patient care delivery and aligning nursing practices with organizational goals. This is a full‑time, on‑site leadership role overseeing ICU units within a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 leadership and oversight of ICU operations, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Supervise and mentor nurse managers, charge nurses, and clinical teams within assigned units.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to plan, implement, and evaluate nursing practices and patient care standards.
• Support initiatives that enhance patient satisfaction, nursing excellence, and operational efficiency.
• Develop and monitor departmental budgets, staffing plans, and performance metrics.
• Serve as a resource and advocate for nursing staff, ensuring professional growth and adherence to best practices.
• Participate in strategic planning and policy development to improve patient outcomes and nursing workflows.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, clinical best practices, and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Education:
• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program and a Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare‑related field or BSN.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related healthcare field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU leadership experience as a Manager or Director in an acute care hospital setting.
• Proven background in critical care nursing and hospital operations.
• Recent hands‑on experience in ICU management required.
• Licenses & Certifications:
• Active RN license in Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date).
• CPR certification required.
• Additional leadership or specialty certifications preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to build trust and collaboration among multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent critical thinking, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain focus under pressure.
