HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is seeking an experienced RN to support preoperative and perioperative care. The role emphasizes patient education, surgical preparation, and collaboration with surgeons, nurses, and technologists to deliver safe, high-quality care.

You will evaluate patients before surgery, educate families on procedures, and ensure accuracy in site verification and documentation while supporting continuous improvement in workflow and patient safety.

Qualificações

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
• RN licensed through state board of nursing.
• Bachelor's or Associate Degree required for RN position.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification per hospital policy.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care using evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with a dynamic interdisciplinary team.
• Apply nursing process with critical thinking and leadership to ensure safe care.
• Monitor patient condition and document changes thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment, and follow-up.
