Job summary

Monterey Park Hospital in Los Angeles County is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Day Surgery Department. The RN provides care, counseling, and health education to hospitalized patients and coordinates care from admission through post-discharge.

The role requires a CA RN license, BLS, and ACLS/PALS either currently or within 2 months of employment. English proficiency is required for both written and spoken communication.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• 1 year of acute care hospital experience in Med/Surg or Outpatient Surgery preferred.
• Current CA RN license; BLS required. ACLS & PALS required or within 2 months of employment.
• Proficiency in both written and oral English.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, treatment, counseling, and health education to hospitalized patients.
• Plan and coordinate care from admission through post-discharge.
• Meet and exceed regulatory requirements and participate in quality, safety, and performance improvement activities.
• Collaborate with all members of the multidisciplinary team to provide outstanding customer service to patients, family, physicians and the public.
