Job summary

Good Samaritan is a not-for-profit organization delivering housing and services to seniors in Ellis, KS. The RN provides individualized nursing care, coordinating with residents, families and an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate care across all care phases.

The role may serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff, ensuring safe, compliant nursing practice and high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (CCNE/ACEN/NLN CNEA).
• Current unencumbered RN license in the state of practice (or multistate license if NLC).
• Obtains and maintains required department competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Uses nursing process to provide individualized care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinates care with residents, families and interdisciplinary colleagues.
• May serve as charge nurse and supervise licensed and unlicensed staff as appropriate; ensures patient safety and adherence to nursing standards.
