Qualifications

• Licensed in the State of Oregon as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required at hire.
• ACLS within 6 months and PALS within 12 months as identified in SAHS Crosswalk.

Responsibilities

• Meets health system's guiding behaviors and caring standards.
• Demonstrates knowledge to care for Neonate to Geriatric patients as applicable.
• Documents services and supplies accurately for revenue management.
• Complies with hospital safety policies and procedures.
• Performs comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments.
• Educates patients based on assessed needs.
• Develops and evaluates a care plan tailored to patient needs.
• Communicates status and plan to other caregivers both verbally and in writing.
• Administers medications and evaluates effectiveness.
• Demonstrates safe operation of patient care equipment.
• Advocates for patient rights and comfort.
• Provides nursing measures to alleviate pain.
• Demonstrates therapeutic and professional boundaries.
• Integrates knowledge and hospital policies into practice.
• Meets unit-specific technical skills and Oregon Board of Nursing rules.
