Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire for all units unless ACLS/PALS are already current as per unit crosswalk.
• ACLS within 6 months and PALS within 12 months may be required per SAHS crosswalk.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care in collaboration with the health care team.
• Performs ongoing assessment, planning and treatment of patients and families.
• Maintains accurate and complete documentation of nursing services.
• Advocates for the rights of patients and ensures safe medication administration.
• Demonstrates knowledge to care for diverse age groups (Neonate to Geriatric).
• Promotes safety, reduces pain, and educates patients and families.
