Job summary

Memorial Health System - Ohio seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as Charge Nurse on the Marietta unit. You will direct patient care, lead shift activities, and guide a team of professionals to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include rounds, staffing management, and coordinating with the care team to support discharge planning and patient teaching, while maintaining compassionate patient relationships.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Ohio (or WV if working there).
• BLS required upon hire.
• ACLS within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Participates in bedside shift report/handoff.
• Performs hourly rounding.
• Obtains required patient assessments and reassessments per nursing policy.
• Develops a plan of care and teaching plan based on assessed needs of patient and family.
• Coordinates discharge teaching and documentation.
• Implements and monitors nursing interventions.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Meditech within required timeframe.
• Collaborates with inter-disciplinary team to identify patient needs.
• Communicates changes in patient conditions with physician using SBAR.
