Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking an RN to deliver direct patient care using the nursing process from admission to discharge. The role is non-exempt, full-time with a 36-hour week and a 12-hour day shift.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, discharge coordination, medication administration and collaboration with physicians to ensure safe, high-quality care. MA licensure and BLS/ACLS are required; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current.
• ACLS certification required in select areas and/or current in addition to unit requirements.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient’s care from Admission to Discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
• Administers medications and assists physician with procedures as required.
