Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's preferred.
• RN licensure: Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license.
• Certification: BLS required; additional certifications may be required by unit.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients per nursing skills inventory and patient needs.
• Coordinates nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Collaboration with healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes based on data and standards of care.
• Plans and implements discharge and transfer plans.
• Participates in program evaluation and process improvement to meet client-centered outcomes.
• Adheres to regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards.
• Considers diverse patient needs across the continuum of care to ensure high quality service.
• Ensures safety for patients, staff and visitors following MHHS policies.
• Promotes professional growth and may serve as preceptor or resource to staff.
• Assumes other duties as assigned.
