Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current State of Texas license or compact license to practice nursing.
• BLS certification; additional certifications may be required based on unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients per the nursing skills inventory and patient age/needs.
• Coordinates planning for nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and makes appropriate clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with and may delegate to the healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Develops discharge and transfer plans.
• Participates in systemic evaluation of programs, process improvement and outcomes.
• Adheres to all regulatory and Memorial Hermann standards and policies; maintains documentation.
