Job summary

Kirkwood Wellness & Rehabilitation is recruiting a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our day shift team. You will provide high-quality, resident-centered care on 12-hour, 7am-7pm shifts and supervise clinical staff while coordinating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds a Missouri RN license, BLS/CPR certification, and has experience in post-acute or long-term care.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri RN license in good standing.
• BLS/CPR Certification.
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care or post-acute care preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and teamwork skills.
• Excellent communication and patient-centered care.
• Ability to supervise clinical staff and collaborate with physicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care per physician orders and care plans.
• Assess residents and identify changes in condition.
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as ordered.
• Supervise LPNs and CNAs.
• Communicate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Educate residents and families on care plans.
• Ensure infection prevention and control standards are followed.
• Participate in QA/QAPI initiatives.
• Maintain a safe, compassionate environment.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies.
