Grand Strand Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our operating room team in Myrtle Beach. You will provide patient education, prepare patients for surgery, and work within a dynamic interdisciplinary team to ensure safety and high-quality care.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, continuous improvement, and collaboration with providers, staff, and families to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN license active or in process with state board.
• BCLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in surgical/OR settings.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery and coordinate care.
• Provide patient and family education about procedures and perioperative care.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative meds.
• Perform surgical site verification and adhere to safety protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions and document changes during shift.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and staff for optimal workflow.
• Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care.
