Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an RN for a 13-week CVOR assignment in a cardiovascular OR environment. You will provide direct patient care as a staff nurse, collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safety, accuracy, and efficiency in the cardiovascular unit.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS, and 6 months to 3 years of RN experience, with cardiovascular OR exposure preferred. Day shifts and a 10-hour shift length are offered, with weekend and call responsibilities as described.

Description:The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities.Prevention of illness and injury is prioritized, along with alleviating suffering through diagnosis and treatment.The RN advocates for the care of individuals and families.Responsibilities include assessing, planning, delegating, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a group of patients.The RN serves as a primary nurse and/or accountable nurse based on unit assignment.Consideration of factors related to safety, effectiveness, competency, cost, and impact is essential.Education of patients and families in health promotion and disease management is required.A working knowledge of pharmacology is utilized, and medications must be administered safely.The RN shares responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization, including staffing and time management.Compliance with all nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements is mandatory.Participation in the Nursing Shared Governance Model is expected.Engagement in professional development and continuing nursing education is essential.Integration of nursing research and current evidence into practice is encouraged.Providing a supportive learning environment for new employees and students is part of the role.Duties may include Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator responsibilities when assigned.Participation in improvement initiatives and peer review practices is expected.Other duties may be assigned as needed.Experience in a Cardiovascular OR is required.Staffing in general OR may be necessary if cardiac volume is low.Call hours of 2 to 3 shifts per week are required, typically from the end of a shift to the start of the next shift.Every other weekend commitment is expected.
