Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a Registered Nurse with a cardiovascular specialty to support CV MedSurg care in Urbana, IL. This 13-week assignment requires a Day shift with 12-hour shifts and a minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience.

• Maintain accurate documentation to support patient care and communication with the healthcare team.
• Ensure patient and employee safety by reporting and addressing safety hazards.

Description:The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame.The RN provides care to these patients via the utilization of the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, financial and human resources within the philosophy of the institution.Essential functions include performing all responsibilities and duties required by the unit as specific to the scope of service.The RN implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.Maintaining up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided is essential to assure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team.Completing an initial assessment upon patient admission and developing an appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards based on patient and family needs is required.The RN implements the plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures.Modification of the plan of care based upon continuous evaluation is necessary.Taking responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and/or correcting safety hazards and incidents is a critical duty.The RN communicates with others directly and in private when necessary to resolve issues.Constructive feedback is offered to assist in the professional development of peers, and conferencing with colleagues helps expand the knowledge base.Identifying one's own learning needs and taking initiative to begin appropriate solutions is encouraged.Fulfilling all requirements of departmental competencies is expected.The RN provides direct care to CVMS patients, including post-operative care for CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery patients.Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment is essential.Hourly rounding on patients is practiced.Proactively seeking out opportunities to assist internal and external customers is encouraged.
