Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a Staff RN specialized in CVOR for a 13-week assignment in Illinois. The role is day shift, with 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and requires a minimum of three years of CVOR nursing experience. A valid RN license in good standing and BLS certification are mandatory.

The RN will manage patient care across the perioperative spectrum, ensure accurate documentation, and collaborate with the surgical team to maintain safety and quality standards.

Description:The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver.The RN assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated timeframe.The RN provides care to these patients using the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, and available resources.The RN performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit standards.The RN implements procedures and theories related to the area of practice.The RN maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided.The RN completes initial assessments upon patient admission and develops appropriate plans of care.The RN implements nursing interventions and patient care procedures.The RN modifies the plan of care based on continuous evaluation.The RN takes responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting safety hazards and incidents.The RN communicates directly and privately when necessary to resolve issues.The RN offers constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers.The RN confers with colleagues to expand their knowledge base.The RN identifies their own learning needs and takes initiative to find appropriate solutions.The RN fulfills all requirements of departmental competencies.The RN prepares the operating room suite for patients, including supplies and equipment.The RN interviews patients utilizing proper identification methods.The RN transports patients to the appropriate operating room and onto the operating table using safety precautions.The RN performs timeouts upon entry into the operating room, prior to incision, and prior to exiting.The RN appropriately positions and preps patients for procedures using positional aids and guidelines.The RN supports the surgical team during procedures by responding to requests.The RN transports patients to recovery or specific units and provides handoff to receiving RNs.Travelers remain in the department unless on break to be available for patient care needs.Any week that includes a holiday provides a guarantee of a 40-hour work week.Call on the holidays, if assigned, would be a 24-hour call shift.If not needed in the specific service line, the RN understands they may be floated to General OR.
