RN CV ICU Full Time Nights Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the CV ICU provides direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of assigned patients. The role involves collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care and achieving desired outcomes. The RN adheres to Piedmont Medical Center's Nursing Service Core Values, participates in the Shared Governance Model, and complies with the Code of Conduct and ANA Standards for Professional Nurses. Competencies are to be met as defined by the Nursing Department and the Department of Education.

Qualifications for RN CVICU Candidate

The candidate must demonstrate the ability to:

1. Perform each essential duty satisfactorily
2. Provide care utilizing the nursing process
3. Communicate effectively

Minimum Licensure and Certifications

A valid, permanent, multi-state RN license from the state of residence is required. If holding a license from another Compact state, the candidate must obtain a multi-state license in their state within 30 days. BLS certification is required; ACLS certification must be obtained within the orientation period.

Experience and Additional Certifications

Previous clinical experience is reviewed for acceptability. One year of telemetry experience is preferred. CCRN certification is also preferred.
