Job summary

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is seeking an RN for the Critical Care Response Team to provide rapid, expert clinical support for patients deteriorating outside the ICU. The role emphasizes mentorship, collaboration with nurses, providers, respiratory therapy, and nursing leadership, and integration with hospital-wide critical care operations.

The position is 12-hour night shifts, part of a 36-hour weekly schedule, and requires an ADN with RN licensure, CPR, and a minimum of six months’

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred; must matriculate if ADN holder.
• RN license required.
• Minimum six months nursing experience; 2–3 years in Rapid Response, Critical Care/ICU/ED preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as clinical expert and mentor to frontline nurses, providers, respiratory therapy, and nursing leadership.
• Operate as an on-site partner to support rapid response and critical care initiatives.
• Coordinate care for patients experiencing acute deterioration outside the ICU.
