Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Illinois.
• Three or more years of acute critical care experience.
• Telemetry skills must be demonstrated within one month of hire.
• CPR – Basic Life Support per AHA.
• CPR – Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Nursing Process – assess, plan, implement, evaluate care for acute patients requiring rapid intervention.
• Demonstrates AIDET and rounding during acute care interventions and follow-ups.
• Performs rapid intervention and directs care during rapid response calls.
• Directs teammates using safe, evidence-based standards and protocols.
• Performs rapid intervention on transfers and ED admissions.
• Completes initial documentation and accompanies patient through imaging and transfer.
• R rounds post-rapid intervention and prepares evaluation data as required.
• Assists with diagnostic studies and administers medications as needed.
