Job summary

Sierra Donor Services is seeking an Organ Recovery Coordinator with ICU/critical care RN experience to facilitate organ donation. The role requires coordinating with clinical teams and surgeons, assessing organ compatibility, and expediting surgical processes for transplant.

A valid RN license and driver’s license are required. The position offers 12-hour shifts with a $5 per hour night shift premium and a generous benefits package, including PTO, sick time, and health plans.

Qualifications

• Two plus years of prior critical care experience.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and multitask.
• RN license required and valid driver's license.
• Flexibility for day and night shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patient suitability for organ donation by reviewing medical records and consulting with medical staff.
• Coordinates organ placement and allocation with transplant programs and surgeons.
• Assists in surgical recovery of organs and peri-operative management, including logistics and specimen prep.
• Provides support to donor families and conducts medical/social history interviews.
• Updates donor information in electronic medical records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
