Sierra Donor Services in West Sacramento, CA is seeking an In-house Family Care Coordinator with nursing or social work background to support organ donation processes. Using their clinical skills, ORCs oversee donor evaluation, organ placement, and collaboration with hospital teams to ensure compassionate patient care and timely transplantation.

• Two plus years prior experience in a critical care setting.
• RN license and valid driver's license required.
• Ability to exercise independent judgement and multitask.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills.
• Willingness to provide outreach and marketing efforts.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluates patient suitability for organ donation by reviewing medical records and staff consultation.
• Coordinates organ placement and allocation with transplant programs and surgeons.
• Assists in surgical recovery of organs and peri-operative management – including transport and packaging.
• Provides support to donor families and conducts interviews.
• Partners with hospital leadership to improve donation metrics and policies.
• Develops hospital educational programs and status reports.
• Updates donor information in the electronic medical record.
• Other duties as assigned.
