Job summary

Tennessee Donor Services is seeking an Organ Recovery Coordinator (Critical Care RN) in Nashville. The role focuses on overseeing organ donation processes, coordinating with clinical teams, and expediting surgical and logistical steps to transplant organs promptly and safely.

Ideal candidates have ICU/CCU nursing experience, strong independent judgement, and excellent teamwork and communication skills. RN license and valid driver’s license are required; travel/ambulation is expected in a

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in a critical care setting.
• Ability to exercise independent judgement and multitask.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Registered Nursing (RN) License required.
• Valid Driver’s License with MVR clearance.
• Ability to creatively approach marketing and outreach.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient suitability for organ donation by reviewing medical records and consulting with medical staff.
• Coordinate organ placement and allocation with transplant programs and surgeons.
• Coordinate surgical recovery of organs and peri-operative management, including logistics and specimen prep.
• Provide support to donor families and conduct medical/social history interviews.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
